At present, we have no mycological records.

We strongly discourage the collecting of fruiting bodies from the forest. Not only is it dangerous for you but it is the removal of important habitat and spores for future generations.

Please refer to the British Mycological Society’s Code of Conduct for Responsible Collecting of Fungi for Research and Educational Purposes https://www.britmycolsoc.org.uk/mycology/conservation/code-conduct

The Code contains this statement on foraging which is particulalry applicable to the SSSIs within the Dallington Forest Project area: “The Society recommends that foraging be actively discouraged on land designated for its wildlife conservation interest. This includes National Nature Reserves (NNR), Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), local nature reserves and other protected areas.”
